ControlUp Team ControlUp 8.1, our major new release, is now available, and it’s powerful! ControlUp 8.1 introduces two new and significant capabilities: native integration with VMware Horizon and enhanced scalability. With this release, ControlUp enables EUC admins to seamlessly manage Horizon environments and control enterprise-scale implementations from the ControlUp console.
Real-Time Monitor Cluster
ControlUp 8.1 introduces the concept of the real-time monitor cluster, allowing ITOps to manage and control up to 100,000 machines by adding additional monitor nodes to a Site, creating a monitor cluster. We have worked hard to ensure that this new linear scalability will not affect ControlUp’s “signature” real-time monitoring. ControlUp 8.1 still refreshes the data in every cell every 3 seconds, the same as ControlUp 7.5. We accomplished this feat by rearchitecting how ControlUp Monitors operate. Native Horizon Integration
ControlUp 8.1 allows Horizon administrators to seamlessly manage Horizon environments. Adding Horizon environments to ControlUp 8.1 is painless and surprisingly fast. Once added, Horizon administrators get full-stack visibility from their Horizon Pods, to connections servers, to Desktop Pools, all the way down to the end users’ processes — truly seamless.
