At ControlUp, we’re all about innovation, particularly when it comes to improving an employee’s digital experience. We’re excited that AWS is on the same page when it comes to deploying digital workspaces. For example, Amazon WorkSpaces cloud-delivered virtual desktops and the Amazon WorkSpaces Thin Client are transforming desktops and applications delivery—with enhanced security, simplicity and seamless performance. It’s one of the key themes we’ll be talking about during this year’s AWS re:Invent.
We invite you to visit us at AWS re:Invent in booth #981, where we’ll be having conversations about ControlUp and why digital employee experience (DEX) plays an essential role when deploying this new breed of workspace.
This new way of deploying virtual desktops from the cloud is changing the market for the better. Gone are the on-prem infrastructure and the complexity of deploying VDI, replaced with applications and desktops that can be provisioned and managed with ease, all from the cloud. Offering multiple options, Amazon WorkSpaces can deliver single or multi-user instances of Windows desktops, with full support for Microsoft Office. Add the Amazon Workspaces Thin Client to lower the cost of management, increase end point security, and reduce complexity delivering cloud-powered workspaces. Workspaces Thin Clients are simple for IT to deploy and support a variety of peripherals for both hybrid and remote workforces.
In short, Windows desktops, whether virtualized or not, are still Windows desktops! Applications will still crash, network performance can still affect the experience, slow logon times do not disappear, and Windows still needs to be patched, managed, and supported.
While IT can deploy virtual cloud desktops more easily, IT still must manage the experience of this new workspace and in many scenarios, manage the end-to-end experience, including the cloud-delivered desktop down to the connecting device. Without a solid DEX platform to monitor and help remediate any issues, IT has limited visibility into the cloud-delivered desktop, the device being used to connect to, nor the network in between.
ControlUp is excited about supporting this growing universe of virtual cloud desktops, adding a valuable layer to the experience with real-time monitoring, remote control, automated remediation, and actionable insights.
ControlUp fixes problems before they can impact the end user and flag potential security issues, to further support steady workflows.
ControlUp continues to innovate new features in our DEX platform alongside AWS. Together, we can fulfill the vision of employee workplace empowerment.
Say hello to us at AWS re:Invent at booth #981. We look forward to talking about the value of delivering a seamless digital experience at your employees’ desktops!
